Kyushu Railway Company (or JR Kyushu) , the nationwide railway operator, has decided to issue NFT on Astar.
JR Kyushu NFT will commence operations in July 2023 to provide passengers with new ways to enjoy Kyushu’s services and maintain travel in a holistic manner.
Astar Network was chosen by Japanese railway professionals for its low fees, unprecedented scalability and in-depth understanding of the Japanese market.
Earlier this year, Astar Network partnered with Toyota and held a joint hackathon event.

Depending on the level and type of NFT held, passengers may be eligible for additional benefits and access to exclusive NFT releases. The first customers will be able to purchase NFT with Japanese Yen (JPY).
