Former US President Donald Trump’s second set of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Trump Digital Trading Cards Series 2, sold out within the first 24 hours of launch, according to the project’s website .
CryptoSlam data shows that Trump’s second set of digital tokens topped global NFT sales in the past 24 hours. This NFT set has generated $2.7 million in secondary sales since its launch on Tuesday and has 7,394 owners.
Previously, Trump Digital Trading Cards Series 1, also sold out on the first day of launch in December 2022.
Series 2 NFTs are sold for US$99 each on the Polygon blockchain. With 47,000 properties in the collection, the project is said to have generated more than $4.65 million in sales.
According to CryptoSlam, approximately US$2.6 million in sales were made using wrapped Ether transactions, which indicates that the project has brought about US$2 million into the Polygon network.
Trump’s recent financial disclosure revealed that he made up to $1 million in earnings from the first version of a digital trading card.
Earlier this month, the former president pleaded not guilty to 34 aggravated criminal charges of falsifying business records.
